The Intelligence Bureau (IB) is India's internal intelligence agency, operating under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Established in 1887, it's the oldest intelligence agency in India. IB is responsible for gathering intelligence within the country, conducting counter intelligence, and providing security assessments to the government. It monitors threats to national security, including terrorism, espionage, and internal disturbances. IB also coordinates with other intelligence agencies and law enforcement agencies to safeguard India's interests.
